The start of a tumblr…

25 Random things

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.

(To do this, go to “notes” under tabs on your profile page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, type your 25 random things, tag 25 people (in the right hand corner of the app then click publish.)

1. I love to travel and I have been to 24 states in the past year.

2. As much as I like being social, I need time to myself or I go insane.

3. Chicago is my favorite city in the country and anyone who says that NYC is better is wrong. DC has been growing on me over the past few years.

4. I have a weird obsession with Piano Bars, yet only go to them about once every six months. I also have a weird knack for winning the free parties at Howl at the Moon in Chicago.

5. I spent two years of my life living in the south and know that I can never do that again because I’m secretly terrified of southerners.

6. As much as I loved my senior year of college, I don’t think that I would ever want to go back to that time in my life since it was one of the most stressful, unhappy periods of my life.

7. I am an extremely unforgiving person. I almost never give people second chances and have a tendency to cut people out of my life. Just ask anyone that has upset me in the past.

8. Being Student Body President was one of the best and worst things in my life and I think it has ruined my memory of the University of Illinois forever. I guess it’s a good thing that I didn’t stay there for law school.

9. That being said, there are people from Champaign that I miss everyday and wish were here with me. I think they know who they are because I usually tell them to come visit me every five to seven minutes.

10. I don’t believe in true love and probably never will. I also don’t think I believe in soul mates or that “there’s someone for everyone thing” - call me cynical, but I just don’t see it.

11. I absolutely love asian food. Chinese, Sushi, Thai, Indian…everything.

12. I have a love/hate relationship with gay bars. I love to hate them. That being said, some of the best nights that I have been out with friends have been at them. (Studio in Iowa City and C-Street in Champaign are excluded - only Chicago and DC gay bars count).

13. I think I love my cat more than I have loved any other person. I think this means I will become one of those old crazy cat people.

14. Law school is the first time that I have felt engaged in my academic pursuits in a long time. I didn’t open a single textbook for my last two years of college.

15. I usually feel like I have an endless supply of acquaintances but a limited amount of people that I feel extremely close to.

16. I miss Roxy Ryan’s photo fairies always running around and referring to me by name and title.

17. I will live in a city for the rest of my life after law school. It will likely be either Chicago, Boston or Washington, DC.

18. There are about ten people who know how to make me laugh more than anyone else I know.

19. Sometimes I want to just get in my car and drive to a city out west and move there. Like Seattle, San Francisco or Denver.

20. I made a New Years Resolution this year in February and I’m keeping it. If you want to know what it is, ask me.

21. I love seeing musical theater and will be seeing Rent in April with Libby, Sophie and Katie. I couldn’t be more excited about this.

22. I love my car. I have had it for almost a year now and couldn’t be happier with it.

23. I got mono last January and thought that I was going to die. I actually wished at points that I would just die and be put out of my misery from it. But at least Sophie took me to Panera, which helped.

24. Thursgays at Murphy’s is one of my favorite college memories. I would love to go back and celebrate again with Katie Mary Dunne, Tiffy Tits, Alan, CK, Roxy, and Jameson.

25. My favorite memorial day past time is Greek Fest in St. Charles, IL with Yiota…mostly for the baklava sundae and souvlaki. Also, I love Zorba’s in Dupont Circle in DC. I think Greek food might be one of my favorites.
